Hi, I'm Liam
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat currently living in New York, United States.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of my life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn’t in our long-term plan. As with many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The first months were intense — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more convoluted than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock and uncertainty prevailed, with much learning on the go. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, met other families, and began building a sense of stability.
Why I Built Beacon Craft Jade
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family view.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical advice drawn from real life in United States.
